Swiss Museum of Transport permanent expo

DUE TO OPEN THIS AUTUMN:

The Verkehrshaus der Schweiz / Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne is planning a permanent display of inserts of our films - to bring to life the flights of the Breitling Orbiter 1, 2 and 3 balloons. The Museum, the most visited in Switzerland, has the Breitling Orbiter 2 balloon capsule in its permanent display (which broke the duration record for an aircraft of any type when it floated from the Swiss Alps to Myanmar in 1998). One year later, Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones took the ultimate ballooning prize when they completed their epic flight around the earth in the Breitling Orbiter 3 balloon. The capsule that they flew in this historic flight now resides in the Smithsonian / Air and Space Museum in Washington DC.
